NVC – Listening and Speaking from the Heart
A Weekend Workshop for Couples with Roberta Wall and Yoav Aptowitzer
Based on the work of Marshall Rosenberg (founder of Nonviolent Communication-NVC) and Yemima Avital
What is a Nonviolent Communication (NVC)?
'Nonviolent Communication' or 'Compassionate Communication ‘is a practical method for communication in relationships and a powerful tool for conflict transformation developed by Dr. Marshall Rosenberg. NVC is influenced by the principles of nonviolence of Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King and humanistic approaches of Martin Buber and Carl Rogers. NVC enables a real change, a new connection and trust in relationships.
The purpose of the workshop
The purpose of the workshop is to provide tools, a consciousness and practices for couples to communicate from the heart, transform conflict and create deeper and more fulfilling communication. You may discover surprising changes in blocked and stuck places in your relationship and more closeness and depth.
How we learn and who is invited to the workshop?
The workshop is designed for couples and will be held in English. We will learn the main principles of NVC through practicing and demonstrating actual conflicts and misunderstandings in our lives. Practice will be held in the group and in pairs. We will enrich our understanding of the nature of relationships through relevant texts from the Jewish teacher Yemima.
